Program proposals

This year’s theme is Back to Basics, and the Education Committee is soliciting proposals that focus on (but not limited to) the following topics:

  • Freedom to Learn: Challenges and Responses to Intellectual Freedom
  • Book banning: state policies vs. library principles
  • Duty to the public: resources and assistance to pro se, prisoners, and public patrons
  • Collection Development: ABA standards and Print Collections
  • Engaging with Patrons: helping students, faculty, attorneys, judges, and the public in an increasingly virtual landscape
  • Challenges to DEI policies and practices in law libraries

These are only a few examples; the Education Committee welcomes any and all proposals that are of interest to you and for which you are passionate about regarding law librarianship!

The Education Committee will be accepting proposals through the proposal form until Friday, May 17 at 11:59pm. If you have any questions please reach out to anyone on the Education Committee.
