Call for Proposals

The Education Committee is excited to open the call for proposals for this fall’s Annual Meeting!

The meeting theme, From Brown to Backroads: Law Librarians Leading Change, reflects both place and profession. Hosted in Topeka—home to the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision—this year’s meeting invites contemplation of the many crossroads facing law librarians today. From evolving technologies and artificial intelligence to changing collections, teaching methods, and service models, law librarians continue to guide their institutions and communities through moments of transformation. We welcome proposals that explore how law librarians are leading change, expanding access to legal information, and helping users navigate the shifting landscape of legal research and justice—from major institutions to rural communities and everywhere in between.

To encourage more panels, especially cross-institutional panels, the Education Committee may provisionally accept panels even if panelists have not been selected yet. If you have an idea for a panel but don’t know who would be interested to serve as a panelist, please go ahead and propose your program. If you are interested in serving as a panelist but don’t want to propose a program, please be on the lookout for further information from the Education Committee.

Please submit your proposal. To see what the Education Committee will consider when reviewing proposals, please refer to our program evaluation rubric.

The Education Committee will be accepting proposals until Friday, May 29 at 11:59pm.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Education Committee Chair, Ariel Newman.
