    The Wheat Law Library at the University of Kansas School of Law invites applications for a tenure-track assistant librarian to join the faculty. The Electronic Services and Emerging Technologies Librarian will lead the library’s efforts in managing electronic resources and integrating emerging technologies that enhance access to legal information and support the educational and research missions of the Law School.  This position plays a critical role in the evaluation, implementation, and support of digital tools and services, and collaborates with library staff, IT personnel, and faculty.

    The Electronic Services and Emerging Technologies Librarian is a member of the Wheat Law Library and reports to the Director of the Wheat Law Library. As a member of the Wheat Law Library, this position contributes to the educational and research support of the faculty, staff, and students at the University of Kansas School of Law as well as the broader University of Kansas community. This position works closely with colleagues in the Wheat Law Library and beyond to accomplish shared goals and works to strategically address the libraries’ priorities.

    This is a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position. The position reports to the director of the Wheat Law Library, although the tenure and rank considerations are governed by the University Libraries promotion and tenure procedures.

    Required Qualifications

    • ALA-accredited master’s degree in library/information science or equivalent from a foreign institution by date of appointment.
    • Experience working in a library, an academic law library, or law firm library.
    • Experience with integrated library systems.
