Welcome to the Mid-America Association of Law Libraries (MAALL) website. As a regional chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), our approximately 250 members represent and serve academic, court, government, law firm, and local law libraries in 13 states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

From its beginnings in 1973, MAALL has been led by the deep expertise and unwavering engagement of legal information professionals who are driven by community, continuing education, and collaboration. While our organization covers hundreds of miles across the middle of the country, our members share a camaraderie that transcends any distance.

I encourage you to access our members’ insights through MAALL Markings, the association newsletter, and through our Annual Meeting program materials. MAALL members may also log into the website to access full member contact information, post job openings, access policy manuals, and volunteer for MAALL committees.

It is my distinct honor and privilege to serve as President of MAALL for 2020-2021. As we progress through the year, please do reach out to me with any questions about our organization and suggestions for how we can grow in excellence and in service.
