    Taft is seeking a Knowledge & Research Analyst to support Taft’s Indianapolis office.

    We are seeking a Knowledge & Research Analyst with 3+ years' of library experience to support the Indianapolis office. All Taft employees operate under a “Client First” philosophy—in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients. 

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provides legal research for attorneys and staff using free and subscription resources in electronic and print formats.
    • Conducts in-depth research and analysis on companies, industries, competitors, marketplaces, and technologies.
    • Produces cogent and succinct deliverables in response to research requests.
    • Monitors various news and intelligence sources for business development opportunities and market visibility.
    • Contributes to department’s strategic planning, outreach efforts, and policy formulation.
    • Conducts training and orientation sessions for attorneys and paralegals.
    • Assists in miscellaneous administrative tasks including collection development, product review, and the maintenance of the physical library materials.
    • Exhibits exceptional customer service skills.
    • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Successfully manages deadlines and prioritizes projects.
    • Stays up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
    • Dependable and able to provide high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
    • Uses discretion when working with confidential and/or sensitive matters.

    Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Library & Information Science from an accredited graduate program required.
    • Three years of library reference experience.  Law firm or corporate experience is strongly preferred.
    • Experience researching in specialized  legal and business resources (Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, etc.) is strongly preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and document management software.
