    INDIANA UNIVERSITY ROBERT H. MCKINNEY SCHOOL OF LAW, RUTH LILLY LAW LIBRARY invites applications for an Associate Director, a tenure-track library faculty appointment, with a preferred start date of January 2025. The Associate Director is a key part of library leadership working under the guidance of, and in collaboration with, the Library Director. The Associate Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the library, including the Access Services and Collection Services departments. Responsibilities include dealing with personnel management of library staff; assisting with supervision of library faculty; collection development planning; implementing new technologies; and assuring service excellence in meeting the goals of the law library and law school mission statements.

    The Associate Director also heads the legal research instruction program; plans, implements and coordinates reference and circulation services including delivery of traditional and electronic reference; coordinates the faculty liaison program; and provides leadership, creativity, and vision to promote and enhance teaching, research and library operations.

    Applicant must hold a J.D. and M.L.I.S. or equivalent degree and have law library employment experience. Preference will be given to candidates with supervisory experience.
